I had the great privilege to try out one of WACOM’s newest inventions in drawing technology while it was in development, and now, thankfully, it’s been officially released.
It’s called “The Inkling.”
A pen that writes, with ink, like a regular pen, on paper. I know what you’re thinking; “That’s already been invented, moron. Good day to you!”
Yes. But a pen that does everything a regular pen does, but then remembers everything you’ve drawn and downloads to your computer in whatever format you like (including vector) with pressure sensitivity, layers and the ability to create a line-by-line video of your drawings…
Yeah. Now you get me?
I’ll write up a full review for the next issue of Inkspot Magazine for the ACA, but for now, I’ll just say that it’s one of the easiest, and most ingenious inventions for people who spend 90% of the day with a pen in their hand.
Stock in Australia will be available through www.buywacom.com.au around late October/Early November)
(Declaration: I do not work for WACOM and have not been paid for any reviews. They’re very nice looking people though.)
